War genre

War film is a film genre or other electronic media concerned with warfare of land, air and naval battles that have taken place within the twentieth century, with combat scenes central to the genre. There is stories or films that try to stay as close to the real thing as possible as a historical enactment of the film or even can be a twist but is still some what based off a real story in terms of some the events that are played out in the events of the story and through other means of representation both physical viewed and mentally in the minds of the people to imagine what I would have been like in the real wars.

War film that can count as a historical enactment of a war event would be Fury, which is based on World War 2 with the American army pushing behind the lines of the German forces. The film focuses around tank combat and the name fury coming from the name of Sherman tank as it was called fury and this was closely related to what actually happened in real life.

Whilst another form of electronic media that is related to the war genre is Battlefield which is a first person shooter that focuses o n modern warfare and pre historical warfare

The sub genres that link to the war genre are action which the movie Fury would come under as this film is classed as that because of the generic signifiers that the movie has. These are that film has build up of dramatic tension and then releasing it in one scene, another signifier is that there is a lot of violence and explosions that generally happen in action films, and finally there is a hero and villain and in Fury the hero's are the Americans and the villains in this case (usually only one villain) are the Germans (Nazi's) as the movie being about the events of world war 2
